Deion Sanders has already made a telling impact since taking over as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Coach Prime is yet to step out onto the field for his first game as the team’s new man in charge but he’s beginning to prove his worth ahead of his debut with the program. Of course, Sanders will need to prove his worth as a game-winner with the team but just being there has seen to some notable changes.
Colorado is coming off a dismal campaign in which they went 1-11. It appears that the only way forward is up.
Sanders will make his official start when they play the Black & Gold Day Spring Game on April 22. The Buffaloes didn’t put tickets up for sale before 2023 but, now that Deion’s the lead man, it was the obvious thing to do.
Beat writer Brian Howell has reported that over 24,000 tickets have been sold, which marks a major achievement as the game pulled less than 2,000 spectators last year despite it being free. A little over 30,000 fans have attended the spring game over the last seven years combined.

As noted above, Sanders has proven to be a difference-maker for the program. Now, he’ll be looking for that to translate into results.
