The Memphis Tigers came into Saturday’s match-up against the Temple Owls with a 5-0 record, but they wouldn’t leave like that after controversy kicked off late in the game.
With Memphis in Temple territory with less than three minutes to go, quarterback Brady White threw a pass to Joey Magnifico that would most certainly extend the game further.
That was until refs reviewed the played and said Magnifico did not catch the ball cleanly and promptly overturned the play that would give temple the ball.
That terrible overturn would cost Memphis the game and put a blemish on their record that should not be there in the first place.
