Matthew Stafford is still not done throwing touchdown passes this year as he delivered two big ones to hip hop star Drake, paying him $11 million for two neighboring Los Angeles homes. The Wall Street Journal is reporting the L.A. Rams quarterback paid $3.6 million over the asking price for the two ranch-style houses in Hidden Hills.
According to the real estate listing from the Beverly Hills Estates real estate company, one of the properties is a 3,600-square-foot home with a pizza oven, five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a heated pool. It also has an 800-square-foot guest house. The second property includes three bedrooms over nearly 2,400 square feet and sits on 2 acres of land with lots of outdoor entertaining space.
The Staffords now have three California properties.
Stafford, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft, played for the Detroit Lions for 12 seasons before being traded to the Rams last year.
After being traded, Stafford took his new team to the Super Bowl and won his first trophy. He threw for 4,886 yards and had 41 touchdown passes last season.
Not long after leading the Rams to a Super Bowl victory, Stafford received a massive payday. The star quarterback agreed to a four-year, $160 million contract with the team.
