Will he stay or will he go?
That is the main question surrounding Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers as he and his teammates enter today’s Big 12 title game against Oklahoma State with plenty of implications on the line.
Many have been wondering whether Ewers will stick around for another season at Texas, or if he’ll declare for the NFL — where he would likely be projected as a first-round pick in 2024. Ewers’ departure for the pro ranks would also open up an opportunity for his backup, Arch Manning, to take over the starting job next season.
However, based on the latest reports, it looks like Arch will have to wait at least one more season assume that starting job, as Ewers looks to be headed back to Texas for his junior season.
Arch Manning fans will likely be disappointed by this news, and it’s almost certain that this will spark some transfer rumors. They will likely be nothing more than rumors, however, as Arch’s grandfather, Archie Manning, has already assured everyone that the 20-year-old signal caller is in no rush in his development.

For now, Ewers has just one thing on his mind: Beat Oklahoma State by a lot of points and hope that it’s enough to convince the committee that his Longhorns deserve a spot in the College Football Playoff’s final four.
