Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said on Monday that Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers is day-to-day at the moment but it seems the B may be ready to play now.
The No. 7 Texas Longhorns have been without starting quarterback Quinn Ewers for two games and we are still not sure if he will be available for their next contest. If it was up to him, he would be playing.
On his Instagram story, the star quarterback posted a picture of him behind center with the song “Big City” playing, and the lyrics stating “So, turn me loose, set me free…”
The No. 7 Texas Longhorns escaped with a 33-30 overtime win over the No. 23 Kansas State Wildcats in Austin on Saturday to move to 8-1.
Maalik Murphy got the start once again for the injured Quinn Ewers. Murphy in his second start threw 37 passes, 19 were completed for 248 yards and a touchdown. He also tossed two interceptions.
The Texas Defense forced Kansas State to punt seven times, grabbed an interception, forced a fumble, and caused a turnover on downs.
