The Blue Devils pulled off a stunning 28-7 victory over No. 9-ranked Clemson on Monday night, fueled by the stellar play of their signal-caller.
After arguably the biggest football upset in school history, in which Duke quarterback Riley Leonard threw for 175 yards, rushed for 98 more, and had an impressive 44-yard touchdown run, the quarterback had thoughts on his school work.
Leonard was really hoping to get an extension on his homework, which apparently was due at midnight on Tuesday morning.
“Professor Taylor, if you’re seeing this, please let me turn in my homework late because it’s due tonight,” Leonard said on the field. “I think at 12, so it may already be 12.”
Here’s to hoping Professor Taylor is willing to work with him and give him at least another day to complete the homework.
The 6-foot-4 quarterback had his team end the game with 22 consecutive points, including 15 in the fourth quarter. His most notable play was a 44-yard scoring run that helped take down the winner of seven of the last eight ACC championships.

Professor Taylor should help the kid out, especially if he continues to play like this all year.
