A top SEC program has emerged as a potential landing spot for quarterback Jaden Rashada.
The signal-caller spent last season with the Arizona Sun Devils, playing just two games before aggravating an injury suffered in high school and missing nine consecutive outings.
Rashada, the No. 44 overall recruit in 2023, got off to a hot start to the campaign as he completed 44 of his 82 attempts for a total of 485 passing yards and four touchdowns. He fought off Drew Pine, Trenton Bourget, and Jacob Conover for the starting job to become just the second freshman starter in an opening game for ASU, joining Jayden Daniels.
The player is expected to enter the transfer portal ahead of a potential move, with Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz of 247Sports naming the University of Georgia as a landing spot to look out for.
“Multiple sources have indicated Georgia is a school to watch,” Hummer and Zenitz wrote. “The Bulldogs have tried adding more depth to their QB room for much of the offseason, and going to Athens would provide Rashada a runway to sit and learn for a year behind established starter Carson Beck.
“If Rashada were to end up at Georgia, it’d be a situation very akin to Dante Moore, a fellow 2023 recruit, picking Oregon and choosing to sit and learn behind Dillion Gabriel for a year.“

How Would Jaden Rashada Fit At Georgia
Rashada’s short college career has been a drama-filled one. The QB originally committed to Miami before signing with Florida nearing the end of 2022. He eventually demanded a release from his National Letter of Intent, leaving him free to commit to ASU.
The NCAA opened up a probe into Florida’s recruitment of the player earlier this year, with a suspicious NIL offer the subject of interest.
Should Jaden Rashada opt to join the Georgia Bulldogs, he would be a backup to Carson Beck, who is entering his senior season with the team.
UGA lost backup Brock Vandagriff to Kentucky earlier in the offseason, while five-star recruit Dylan Raiola flipped his commitment to move to Nebraska instead. The program currently has Gunner Stockton and freshman Ryan Puglisi as Beck’s understudies. However, a player of Rashada’s ilk would be seen as the perfect bridge between the Bulldogs’ present and future.
