A college football team is being lauded for its classy actions after a weekend loss. The Washington Huskies suffered a demoralizing defeat to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday but were gracious enough to clean the visitor locker room, leaving it spotless before making an exit.
The teams played each other as Big Ten opponents for the first time, with Iowa winning 40-16 to improve to 4-2 and 2-1 in conference play.
While they must have rued the loss, the Huskies did quite the job of leaving like they were never there to begin with.
The Iowa equipment manager shared a photo to X in which he praised the opposition for the way they took care of their visitor’s locker room.
“Great job by the visitors. Safe travels,” he wrote as the caption.

Social media also got in on the act.
“Can’t even tell anyone was there!” someone pointed out.
“Love it. Will be rooting for the huskies to succeed the rest of the year if they keep it up,” said another.
“well.. i don’t know if Jedd Fisch is a good coach or not , but his team is respectful,” someone else noted.
“After a brutal loss on the road and a long flight home, the team made sure to leave the visitors locker room spotless. Says a lot,” a user wrote.
“Many reasons I love this team. This is one. Same reason I drafted Anthony Richardson, and it’s paid off (when he’s healthy! Grrr),” a comment read.
“Not sure if much of UW twitter saw this so wanted to share. The discipline and respect shown here honestly gives me a lot of hope for the future,” another read.
It’s not every day you get to see an opposing team do such an excellent job of cleaning up.
Kudos to the Huskies.
