Fans on social media thought NFL legend Peyton Manning had already tasted a few when a camera caught him at the Orange Bowl.
When you’ve had a remarkable career as someone like Manning, you surely deserve a few drinks here and there. But the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback, widely recognized as one of the best-ever QBs in NFL history, looked worse for wear while attending the bowl game on Friday.
Manning watched on as his alma mater, the University of Tennessee, beat the Clemson Tigers 31-14, so it’s safe to say he must have had a pretty good night. But it also appears that he did not wait until the game was done to get his drink on – at least that’s how some folks saw it.
They Did Peyton Dirty (By Accident)
The photo in question must have been embarrassing for Peyton on multiple fronts. For one, he doesn’t seem to be in the best shape, though this look gets a big pass on a Friday (especially ahead of New Year’s Day). Plus, he never actually won a championship at Tennessee, as erroneously pointed out by ESPN.
When the Volunteers won in 1998, he was already gone.
Fortunately for the former star QB, he won two Super Bowls during his 18-year spell in the NFL.
