Colin Kaepernick just might be getting his shot to play in the NFL in 2020.
In 2017, the Seattle Seahawks had some discussions with free agent Colin Kaepernick, but never got all that close to signing him.
On Thursday, head coach Pete Carroll opened up about the Kaepernick situation and revealed some shocking news that an unknown team called him inquiring about the former 49ers QB.
Carroll also expressed regret that the team didn’t sign Kaepernick in 2017. “I felt like we missed the opportunity, knowing what we know now,” he said.
The Seahawks opted for journeyman Austin Davis instead of Kaepernick that year, to back up Russell Wilson.

Kaepernick is still available, and may still be one of the best backup options out there today.
