Penn’s homecoming game against Yale experienced a delay at halftime on Saturday when protesters stormed the field, with many remaining on the field for more than an hour.
As the first half concluded with the Quakers and Bulldogs tied at 10, protestors associated with Fossil Free Penn came out in droves carrying signs.
Before they rushed the field, protesters handed out flyers to fans in attendance demanding that Penn become a force for “climate and community justice.”

Many of the protesters left on their own accord, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer, but many of the others had to be detained by police and removed from the field.
According to The Daily Pennsylvanian, more than 60 protesters rushed the field.
The protestors carried three banners with their demands and led chants — asking the crowd “Whose side are you on?”
The Penn Quakers would go on to win the game, 20-13.
