The Oregon Ducks’ social media team wanted everybody, especially the Colorado Buffaloes, to remember what was said leaving up to their highly-anticipated showdown this past Saturday.
Deion Sanders’ brought his surprisingly perfect 3-0 Buffaloes into Autzen Stadium for a road contest against Dan Lanning’s Ducks. Though Oregon opened this game as a giant 21-point favorite, many expected a Buffaloes road win.
On their X (previously known as “Twitter”) page, the Ducks posted a near-six-minute video of various clips leading up to the contest. The video featured several folks hyping up the Buffaloes, as well as several trash talking instances from Colorado players.
At the 1:23 mark of the clip, you can see a Colorado player saying, “I’ll beat the (expletive) out of every one of y’all and your coach.” Then at the 1:47 mark, the video shows another Colorado player stating, “I’d like to report a crime to the murder to these Ducks.”
Needless to say, the visiting Buffaloes were no match for the Ducks and their amped-up crowd. Oregon won soundly by a final score of 42-6, having racked up 522 yards of offense while limiting the Buffs to 199.
Ducks’ quarterback Bo Nix strengthened his early Heisman Trophy case by completing 28 of 33 pass attempts for 276 yards, three touchdowns and just one interception. The Ducks compiled 240 rushing yards on 38 carries, with Bucky Irvin leading the way (89 yards on 10 carries).
