College football fans reckon Florida State University and Georgia could boycott the Orange Bowl following a canceled press conference.
The head coaches of said programs, Mike Norvell and Kirby Smart, were scheduled to speak to the media this Thursday but reporter Tim Reynolds took to X on Wednesday to announce that the presser had been canceled.
By now, everyone knows how FSU feels about being snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee after going 13-0. Georgia isn’t all that happy about it either, despite losing the SEC Championship game to Alabama.
Given that the coaches have opted not to speak to the press this week, fans are of the view that the bowl game might not end up taking place.
“I’m not saying FSU canceled this meeting, and I know they are still mad about Sunday,” one user shared. “But the Orange Bowl against the two time national champions should still be a huge deal. FSU hasn’t been in a bowl of this magnitude in nearly a decade…”

Should the game take place, a win over Georgia would help FSU’s case as it would prove that they deserved to be included in the playoffs.
The state of Florida isn’t letting this go, though. Earlier this week, it was reported that Governor Ron DeSantis was making preparations to take legal action against the CFP committee over the snub.
