Olivia Dunne has disclosed she didn’t exactly keep her word after finding out she made it to the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition.
Models are supposed to keep the news to themselves when they get that call, but Olivia was too excited to hold it in and had to tell one person. It’s probably the one person SI would give her a pass for.
The LSU gymnast revealed having called her mother right after finding out, admitting as much to SI Swim in a video interview.
“As soon as I got off the phone, I was jumping up and down,” she said. “I called my mom, even though you’re not supposed to tell anyone right away. I had to tell my mom.”
Mama Dunne was apparently a lot better at keeping the news to herself, with the mother and daughter keeping it close to the vest until the announcement dropped on April 27. Olivia would then share the development with her followers across her social media pages. The Tigers star has over 11 million followers across platforms, with TikTok accounting for over 7.4 million and Instagram responsible for another 4.1 million.
The gymnast’s popularity continues to soar in 2023 while her purse is also improving as she’s now valued at $3.4 million thanks to her NIL earnings.
