LSU Tigers’ gymnast Olivia Dunne has become a social media celebrity, especially on the TikTok platform.
In the summer of 2021, the NCAA officially changed rules that allowed its athletes to make money off of on names, image, and likeness (NIL). Dunne was immediately one of the main beneficiaries, having made several millions of dollars through her social media platform and NIL deals.
Dunne recently appeared on the Nelk Boys’ Full Send Podcast and spoke on several topics, including her lucrative NIL deals. During the interview (h/t Bro Bible), Nelk Boy asked what was the most money she made on one deal.
Dunne stated that the deal paid her six figures. Though she wouldn’t specify the exact amount, she confirmed that it paid her more than half a million dollars.
“Yeah, I’m very fortunate. It’s just crazy to me,” Dunne said.

For many years, the NCAA faced backlash for not allowing its athletes to profit off their NIL. Folks noted how star athletes and marquee athletics programs generated schools millions of dollars every year, so thus it would only be fair to let athletes earn money as well.
Dunne is one of many notable and accomplished athletes at LSU, whose women’s basketball team and men’s baseball team won their respective national championship tournaments this year. The Tigers’ football program, of course, won the national championship back in 2019 as well.
The 20-year-old Dunne has been a member of LSU’s gymnastics team since 2020.
