Oklahoma lost to Arizona last week in the Alamo Bowl but that did not stop a player from trolling a rival.
The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners rivalry extends just about everywhere and it was on full display for the world to see during the halftime of the College Football Playoff semifinal matchup between the Longhorns and the Washington Huskies.
On Monday, during the Allstate Sugar Bowl, the insurance giant brought down this year’s recipients of the Allstate Good Works team, which is an award given out to two players across the country for their work within their communities.
Oklahoma defensive lineman Ethan Downs was one of them.
Upon receiving his award, Downs made sure to give the Horns Down signal.

The boos rained down along with the chants, which was an unexpected turn of events considering the moral reputation of the Good Works Team. Downs was also a finalist for the Danny Weurffel Trophy, which honors playing accomplishments and community service.
Downs had two sacks of Quinn Ewers in OU’s 34-30 victory over the Horns in Dallas back in October.
Downs, who landed second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2023, made 29 tackles for the Sooners this year. He led the team for the second year in a row with 4.5 quarterback sacks.
