Ohio State has been accused of using a certain avenue to keep their star players away from the NFL.
The Buckeyes ended their season on a disappointing note, though they’re still due a bowl game, but could get to keep two of their biggest offensive threats.
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. remains undecided over whether he should remain with the program or enter the NFL Draft, where he would be a sure first-round pick. Running back TreVeyon Henderson is now set to return for his senior year, according to USA Today.
Henderson would be one of the top RB options for NFL teams had he opted to declare for selection.
Harrison is predicted to be the second-overall pick and could end up turning down an opportunity to secure a four-year deal worth up to $40 million. Henderson would not get as big a bag given the status of running backs in the league at the moment – still, he’d make some serious money if he gets picked in the first round.
NFL insider Chris Williams has reported that the school has offered both players NIL deals that would “rival first-round draft pick money” to stay another year.

There is a risk in staying put, despite the money that could be on the table. Sure, the sums involved could be life-changing, but a serious injury could put the players’ NFL prospects in jeopardy, so it might not be worth it in the long run.
