The Alabama Crimson Tide is getting ready to embark on a new era in football for the program after the retirement of Nick Saban.
Many assumed the Crimson Tide would not have the same success in getting top players without Saban, but they are proving that to be untrue.
Scott Dochterman of The Athletic reported that Kadyn Proctor – the five-star player who left Alabama for Iowa – was interested in returning to the Crimson Tide.
Rumors came out that stated he would leave the Hawkeyes to return to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
“The five-star offensive tackle, who joined the Hawkeyes after one season at Alabama, is expected to leave the Iowa program, multiple sources familiar with Proctor’s intentions told The Athletic. Iowa opens spring football practice on Wednesday. Proctor, who went on spring break last week with several former Alabama teammates, is likely to return to Tuscaloosa, those same sources said,” Dochterman wrote.
Soon afterward, Proctor confirmed the news on his social media account stated “I’m back” while using a photo of Michael Jordan.
Alabama Crimson Tide fans were thrilled but none were more happy about it than the daughter of former Alabama coach Nick Saban.

Kristen Saban took to X and posted “I just,” while adding a set of emoji eyes.
She also appeared to go crazy over the potential of Alabama stealing back Caleb Downs, who left the Crimson Tide for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Nick Saban Retiring After 17 Seasons Ushers In New Era of Alabama Crimson Tide Football
Even at the age of 72 and after 17 seasons in Tuscaloosa, Nick Saban’s retirement came as a surprise in Tuscaloosa this year.
The seven-time national champion became the face of the entire sport and built the Crimson Tide into the nation’s dominant program throughout his tenure that included six national championships.
Oregon’s Dan Lanning has since replaced Nick Saban and he has some major shoes to fill.
