Top coaches nationwide have traveled to New Orleans, La. in order to watch top prospect Arch Manning play under the Friday night lights, but that is not the only sport he seems to excel in.
Alabama coach Nick Saban, offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien and defensive coordinator Pete Golding were all spotted attending the five-star quarterback’s basketball game to watch as Isidore Newman beat De La Salle. The team is 16-5 and Manning is averaging 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, according to MaxPreps.
The Crimson Tide coaches are not the first nor the last to visit Manning to see him play basketball. Fresh off the national championship, Kirby Smart and several UGA staff members visited earlier this week.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Manning is the grandson of Archie Manning, and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.
These coaches will do anything they have to do to get the youngest Manning to commit to their school.
