Ohio State has secured a major commitment at quarterback following an earlier disappointment.
The Buckeyes had gotten Dylan Raiola, a five-star prospect, to commit to the program but he has since de-committed and is now considering other schools, including USC, Georgia, and Nebraska.
They’re now likely to forget all about Raiola given the latest development, with a four-star QB having committed over the weekend. What’s more, he has an unbelievably perfect name – Air Noland.
Yup, his first name is really Air. Nike executives must already be hoping he makes it to the NFL.
Both 24/7 Sports and On3 have the Langston Hughes star down as a four-star player, with the latter giving a 94 rating and a composite score of 0.9569. Nolan threw for over 4,000 yards and 55 touchdowns last year, a mouthwatering prospect for the Buckeyes, especially considering that they’ve locked up commits from five-star wide receivers Jeremiah Smith and Mylan Graham.
The QB, ranked No. 84 overall and No. 8 in his position, had offers from Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M, and Clemson.

He joins four-star running back James Peoples and four-star defensive linemen Devontae and Deontae Armstrong as top recent commits. The class is now ranked No. 4 in the nation.
With their acquisition of Noland, Ohio State has adequately filled a void created by Raiola’s change of heart and they must be counting their lucky stars as the former was one of just three top-100 QBs still available.
