After a lackluster final season at Wisconsin — Alex Hornibrook decided to pack up and take his talents to Florida State this past offseason to compete for the starting quarterback job for the Seminoles. He wasted no time pissing off his former teammates.
On Friday, Hornibrook was giving credit to his new teammates, but in doing so, he threw a little bit of shade to his former teammates when he stated he’d “never been around a groups of wide receivers that love football so much and never want to leave the field.”
As you can pretty much guess, a few his former teammates did not appreciate that, so they took to Twitter to respond back.
Hornibrook finished his final year at Wisconsin with 1,532 yards passing and 13 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. The Badgers finished with a 5-4 record in the Big Ten.
We’ll have to wait to see if he’s gotten any better to beat out James Blackmon for starting QB with the Seminoles.
