Chris Webber is not high on Anthony Davis.
During an appearance on the Colin Cowherd Podcast this week, Webber spoke at length about Davis.
“I never felt that way with AD, that he just needed help,” Webber told Colin Cowherd. “I felt that he could be that missing piece for someone else. I don’t know what he’s proven at. He’s a wonderful talent and he hit some big shots for LeBron. I get that. But we’re talking about him being the alpha and I don’t know when that’s worked.
“I’m not as high on him, injury or not.”
NBA fans had various opinions of the former Kings great calling out Davis:

“AD in the playoffs 27/10 Webber 19/9 AD put up averages of 29/13 against the super Warriors in two different series. What is the dude even talking about?” one fan said.
In 40 games this season, Davis averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 blocks in 35.1 minutes of action per game.
Webber was drafted No. 1 overall and honored as the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1993-94 with the Golden State Warriors. He was named to five All-Star teams during a 15-year career and averaged 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game as a pro.
