According to a report by the Abilene Reporter-News, Sharon Shipley, the mother of former Texas WRs Jordan and Jaxon, has been found dead.
The Abilene Police Department responded to Kirby Lake West this week to help search for a missing person. The search led to the body of 55-year-old Sharon Shipley, who had voluntarily left a treatment facility in Taylor County, and was reported missing. The exact cause of death is not yet known. Police are conducting a death investigation which will include an autopsy.
Bob Shipley, Sharon’s husband, has announced a celebration of life ceremony for Sharon that will take place this Saturday.
Jordan Shipley played in Austin for the Longhorns from 2006-2009 and finished with 3,191 yards and 33 touchdowns on 248 catches.
Jaxon Shipley played from 2011-2014 where he secured 218 receptions for 2,510 yards and 19 touchdowns.
