If Michigan beats Washington for the national championship, the Wolverines and coach Jim Harbaugh will just have to deal with the unflattering label of being called cheaters after their major scandal.
The University of Michigan football program is charged with stealing signs from opposing teams and is accused of impermissible in-person scouting. The NCAA opened an investigation and the Big Ten Conference suspended head coach Jim Harbaugh for the final three games of the regular season as a result.
Connor Stalions, the low-level Michigan football staffer who is at the center of an NCAA investigation into impermissible scouting of opponents and sign stealing, resigned from the program but still showed up to their Bowl game to support them.
Amid the cheating is the team playing in the National Championship game tonight.
At one point during the game against the Washington Huskies was a Michigan staffer having the Gaul to hold up a Michigan banner to block a skycam from seeing what the team was doing.
