The Michigan Wolverines further rubbed salt into the wound of their archrivals by delivering the ultimate disrespectful celebration.
Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines came into Ohio Stadium and delivered a statement 45-23 blowout win over the No. 2 ranked Buckeyes. The victory all but assures that Michigan will be one of four teams to qualify for the College Football Playoff National Championship next month.
After the win, Wolverines players went to the middle of the field and planted a Michigan flag to celebrate the victory.
The Wolverines came into this game as the No. 3 ranked team, but they’re sure to move up after Saturday’s big victory. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy completed 12 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns, and running back Donovan Edwards racked up 216 rushing yards and a pair of scores.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, a top candidate to go first overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, tossed 349 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss.
