The Michigan Wolverines football program has decided on a familiar face to succeed Jim Harbaugh as head coach.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wolverines offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Sherrone Moore is being promoted to the head coaching role. Harbaugh left Michigan earlier this week to take the Los Angeles Chargers’ NFL head coaching position.
Moore went 4-0 as the Wolverines’ interim head coach this past season while Harbaugh was sidelined because of a suspension. The Wolverines defeated the Washington Huskies in the national championship game for their first title since 1997.
The 37-year-old Moore has been on the Wolverines’ coaching staff since 2018, starting out as the team’s tight ends coach.
