One of Michigan’s coaches has deleted his X account amid the current saga involving the program.
The Wolverines are still under investigation for sign-stealing while Jim Harbaugh is set to miss the next two games through suspension, having already sat the last one out – that’s in addition to the three-game ban from earlier in the season.
Now, someone on social media has discovered that Steve Clinkscale, the team’s co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, is no longer on X.
Fans couldn’t help but point out that the timing is a little dubious.
“I’m not really someone interested in gossip or propagating random conspiracy theories but it does FEEL unusual for a high-ranking coaching staff member to have his Twitter account deleted a month before signing day,” Jeremy Birmingham, an analyst for Ohio State wrote on said platform, posting a screenshot of the deleted account.

Clinkscale joined the Wolverines as a defensive backs coach ahead of the 2021 season and was promoted to co-defensive coordinator prior to last term.
He’s offered no comment on the deleted account, nor is he expected to.
Michigan will play Maryland this Saturday before their highly-anticipated showdown vs. the Buckeyes on November 25.
