The Michigan Wolverines have gone defeated this term, ending the 2023 regular season with a momentous win over rivals Ohio State.
They’re now set for a Big Ten Championship showdown vs. Iowa that will see head coach Jim Harbaugh return from suspension following a three-game absence resulting from the sign-stealing scandal.
Prior to the game, the Wolverines had plenty of fans talking (and laughing) about their pregame flyover. The team used what appeared to be a commercial airliner for the event, but various users on social media pointed out that the aircraft was a Boeing P-8 Poseidon, which is used by the Navy for operations requiring stealth.
Given the photo below, it would appear that this was some next-level trolling.
That they chose to roll with a plane used for spying amid the scandal, as well as the speculation over their win against the Buckeyes in 2022, suggests as much.
They will now look to advance to the College Football Playoff for the third straight season and at least do one better following their shocking loss to TCU in last year’s semifinal.

That defeat is said to have come as a result of the Horned Frogs learning of the alleged sign-stealing and using it against them.
