Michigan Wolverines quarterback had a strange post-game interview following the team’s statement road win over the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday.
Offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore was the acting head coach with Jim Harbaugh suspended. The latter was issued a three-game suspension on Friday for in-person scouting violations and because of the team’s alleged sign-stealing scheme.
If you listen to McCarthy’s post-game interview, you wouldn’t think that Harbaugh was suspended. Rather, McCarthy’s post-game speech sounded more like a eulogy for the 59-year-old head coach:
Rest assured, Harbaugh is just fine and probably just overly anxious to get back on the sidelines as soon as possible. After his suspension was handed down, Harbaugh and the school filed a request for a temporary restraining order against the Big Ten, hoping it’ll block his three-game ban.
