Jim Harbaugh does things his way. That became apparent again when the Michigan head coach led his players through the song “For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow” in the locker room after they beat Washington to win the National Championship on Monday night.
That’s probably not the song you’d imagine any team singing after a major win; we aren’t sure who the jolly good fellow is either. But Harbaugh and his Wolverines belted it out, and it didn’t seem like any of the players were hesitant to join him in song after his hand went up in the air.

To be fair, the song isn’t that strange, even given the setting. But, as some of his players have revealed, Harbaugh’s taste in music is a bit bizarre.
A few of the members of the Wolverines roster spoke about their coach’s musical habits ahead of Monday’s game, with one of them describing it as “interesting.” Another noted that his song choices are always significant and, although they are weird, always have a deep meaning.

According to the players, Harbaugh’s practice playlist is typically loaded with slow jams. “Defying Gravity” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” are said to be among his favorites.
