Michigan continues to have a wild football season with its coaching staff. Last week, head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended for three games by the Big Ten as the football program has been investigated for a sign-stealing scheme presided over by ex-Marine Connor Stalions.
Jim Harbaugh recently accepted the decision, which came as a surprise to a ton of people.
According to NFL insiders Ross Dellenger and Dan Wetzel, the Michigan athletic department was presented with “new evidence” and it may have forced Harbaugh to accept the decision.
On Friday, the program fired linebackers coach Chris Partridge.
“Michigan leaders were presented new evidence this week in the NCAA’s investigation into its advance scouting scheme, sources tell @DanWetzel & me. The materials, presumably, have altered its approach. UM dropped legal action vs Big Ten. Today, it fired assistant Chris Partridge,” Dellenger wrote.
The new information did not directly implicate Harbaugh and the Big Ten reiterated it has no evidence that Harbaugh was involved or aware of staffer Connor Stalions’s illegal signal-stealing scheme.

The Wolverines left Friday to travel to College Park to play Maryland on Saturday. Harbaugh is expected to accompany the team but is not allowed to attend the game just like last week.
After the dismissal of linebackers coach Chris Partridge — Rick Minter, the father of Michigan co-defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, will serve in Partridge’s place.
Harbaugh would be eligible to return to the sidelines for the Big Ten championship game if Michigan defeats Ohio State.
