Michael Irvin had an incredible reaction to Deion Sanders recruiting more dual-threat players while speaking on ‘Undisputed’ on Monday.
The Colorado Buffaloes head coach is in high demand after his surprising win over TCU on the weekend and made an appearance on the aforementioned show on Monday, joining host Skip Bayless and his former teammate to talk some football.
Following their trip to the national title game against Georgia in January, and given that they were ranked at No. 17 going into the game, the Horned Frogs were the overwhelming favorites – 21-point favorites, to be precise. However, they got shown up by a well-drilled Colorado side boasting a beast in Travis Hunter who played both as a wide receiver and cornerback.
Hunter didn’t just play. He was dominant on both sides of the ball snatching an interception and making three tackles on defense, also making 11 receptions for 119 yards on offense.
While speaking to Bayless and Irvin, Sanders noted that Hunter’s success will help him recruit more two-way players.
“There’s a few more Travis Hunters out there that I’m gonna recruit,” he said, getting the ball rolling right away.

The statement had Irvin laughing hysterically as Sanders reminded everyone that he “ain’t hard to find” while pointing out that he’s the only coach who will allow players to feature on both sides of the ball.

Should Sanders land another player of Hunter’s ilk, there’s no telling how far the Buffs could go under his tutelage.
