Late in the third quarter Friday night game featuring the Miami Hurricanes and No. 20 Virginia — Hurricanes safety Amari Carter had to hit the showers early after he got himself ejected for a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit on Virginia WR.
Replay confirmed what refs called on the field and Carter found himself ejected for the second time this season. Carter didn’t agree and refused to leave the field, which resulted in yet another penalty.
Fans were pissed and began throwing objects on the field in protest of the refs cal.
