The No. 24 Miami Hurricanes are on the verge of losing to the unranked Michigan State Spartans and dropping under .500.
One play in particular has defined how the entire game has gone for them.
Midway through the second quarter, the Spartans opened a drive with a screen pass from Payton Thorne to Tre Mosley. The play went 51 yards, but should’ve went for far less as veteran safety Gurvan Hall jr. seemingly had a video game glitch as he went to tackle a blocker instead of the player with the ball.
Combine the 51-yard play with a 15-yard horse collar penalty, and the toal yards gained was 66.
