A college football player has announced he will be returning for a whopping ninth year in 2024.
Miami Hurricanes tight end Cam McCormick is set to play NCAA football for close to a decade, having taken to social media to disclose that he will be back for some more after playing for eight seasons.
A former three-star recruit from 2016, the TE was in the same recruiting class as NFL stars Jalen Hurts, Nick Bosa, and Rashan Gary.
He started his career off at Oregon before transferring to Miami ahead of last season and has registered 26 receptions for 231 yards and four touchdowns in his career.
Nine years is almost three times more than the average NFL career, but it has its perks, especially with NIL a thing now. At the very least, he gets free food while all his living expenses are taken care of.
McCormick filled out an official petition to play a ninth season in September and, by the looks of things, it was approved. Fair to say, he’s going to be a man against boys next season.
