Football fans are calling for ESPN commentator Mark Jones to be taken off Colorado Buffaloes games following his job in the broadcast booth on Friday night.
Jones called the Buffs’ game against the Stanford Cardinal alongside Louis Riddick on the night and has since faced plenty of criticism for being biased towards Deion Sanders’ team.
Colorado didn’t appear in danger of losing at halftime, having gone into the break up 29-0. They also led right up until the last kick of the fourth quarter but ended up losing in two overtimes as the previously 1-4 Cardinal rallied to complete an unlikely comeback.
The game was a pretty enjoyable one, especially in the first half, but fans took to social media to express annoyance at Jones, whom they accused of being a “cheerleader” for Sanders and blatantly showing support for CU while on the job.

Given their feelings on the matter, they must have been happy when he had to call the moment the Buffs blew it.
ABC will be broadcasting the next Colorado game, with the Buffaloes scheduled to play the UCLA Bruins on October 28 following their bye week. Let’s wait and see who gets this one.
