It’s been six years since Mack Brown last experienced a win in college football, mainly because he had not coached a team since being at Texas in 2013.
That changed last fall when the UNC Tar Heels signed him on to coach the program.
He delivered immediately when his Tar Heels went out and defeated the South Carolina gamecocks 24-20 to start the 2019 season 1-0.
Following the game, the team decided to turn up in the locker room, and that included Mack Brown.
The Tar Heels are coming off of back-to-back nine-loss seasons under Larry Fedora, so Brown just might be the fresh start the program needs to get them back on track.
