The 2023 national champion LSU Women’s Tigers’ basketball team has added yet another big name to an already star-studded roster.
On Friday, the powerhouse basketball program announced that DePaul star Annesah Morrow is transferring to LSU. The Chicago, Illinois native earned First-team All-Big East and Third-team All-American honors in 2023.
Morrow explained her decision in a statement that was shared on the Tigers’ official website:
“As a true competitor, I always dreamed of playing for a top-tier program. LSU’s rich history, support and passion for all sports teams caught my attention. The atmosphere on my official visit was electric, and the fan base is incredibly passionate about their team. I was drawn to this kind of environment because I’ve always dreamed about playing for a university that had that. Furthermore, the opportunity to play in the SEC against some of the nation’s best teams.”
News of Morrow’s transfer comes just a week after Louisville star point guard Hailey Van Lith announced that she was coming to the Tigers’ program as well. Van Lith earned First-team All-ACC honors in 2022 and 2023.
