The LSU women’s basketball team has a brand-new locker room.
In April, LSU women’s basketball won its first national title. Now, the Tigers have a brand-new locker room as a result.
The locker room comes with a film room, lounge, and LED-lit lockers.
Head coach Mulkey stated the need for enhanced amenities shortly after the Tigers knocked off Caitlin Clark and Iowa in the title game in Dallas.
“That thing is 48 years old,” she said at a Rotary Club of Baton Rouge luncheon in April. “You can’t grab a rail without holding onto somebody. I can say this now. I just won a national championship.”

Players on the team walked into it for the first time on Tuesday and went nuts.
In June, the LSU board of supervisors approved the privately funded $1.5 million project. The locker room was named after Jerry and Roselyn Juneau, the two Tiger Athletic Foundation donors who covered the cost.
The LSU women’s basketball team won the NCAA title game in April, beating Iowa in a decisive 102-85 win. With a star transfer joining the Tigers this season, they are a serious threat to repeat for the title.
LSU begins the 2023-24 season ranked No. 1 in the AP preseason poll and returns most of last season’s championship team, including stars Angel Reese and Flau’jae Johnson.
They will tip off their season on Nov. 6 in Las Vegas against Colorado.
