Prayers are being sent for LSU’s backup quarterback, Colin Hurley.
Hurley was injured in an on-campus car accident in the early morning hours on Thursday, according to WBRZ News Station.
Hurley, who just wrapped up his true freshman campaign for the Tigers after taking a redshirt year, was reportedly in bad shape and found unresponsive.
WBRZ reports that “Hurley’s Dodge Charger crashed into a tree at South Quad Drive and Highland Road, near the south gates of LSU’s campus.”

Although he was unresponsive, he was still breathing, according to the initial report.
That leads you to believe that Colin Hurley was likely unconscious.

“Officials said Hurley was unresponsive but breathing. A crash report said firefighters pulled Hurley out of his vehicle. He was in and out of consciousness and had a large cut on his face,” WBRZ states.
Possible impairment was not suspected at the time of the crash.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at the time.
Colin Hurley Signed With LSU In 2023
Colin Hurley signed on with the Tigers at just the young age of 16.
He is highly touted as he made his varsity debut in eighth grade and was rated with 4 stars.
He is considered one of the top 20 prep quarterbacks for his signing class.
