It seemed like the perfect crime until it wasn’t anymore.
LSU PD arrested a student after he and a group of men broke into Tiger Stadium and stole about $1,500 worth of beer over the weekend. According to arrest documents, 19-year-old Bryce Tilotta and other college-aged males were caught carrying several cases of beer. When they were confronted by officers, they quickly ran away.
Surveillance video captured the men earlier that night loading cases of beer into a black pickup truck. Cops would track the truck to the Spruce Hall parking lot where they found the owner, Tilotta. After getting consent, they searched his room where they found the missing cans.
Tilotta admitted to stealing the beer and was arrested on one count of burglary. His friends were not arrested after they fled when officers approached.
Unfortunately, breaking into the stadium has become somewhat of a tradition. Per 247Sports, there were five reported break-ins at Tiger Stadium back in 2017.
Just last year, former Indiana defensive tackle Ralphael Green was arrested after he was caught trespassing into the locker room at Tiger Stadium.
It looks like the university needs to make it much harder for fans to be able to get inside.
