LSU students and LSU Tigers fans are indeed a different breed.
The youngsters as well as older fans are drinking crazy amounts of alcohol at the College World Series.
Down at the College World Series in Omaha is an annual event called the Jello Shot Challenge, which is held at Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina just across the street from Charles Schwab Stadium in Omaha.
Last year, a new record was set as Ole Miss had more than 18,700 shots purchased. That number did not last long at all, however.
Over the first weekend of this year’s tournament in Omaha, LSU fans were on pace to shatter that record as they had taken down more than 9,000 Jello shots.
And after one fan bought 6,000 Jello shots last night, LSU is now the new official record holder.

We don’t know if this is a good thing or if some of these people have serious issues with alcohol. As long as everybody is making it home safe then the event is perfectly fine.
This is just one of many times we have encountered LSU fans and their love for beer or alcohol.
Earlier this year, a 19-year-old student was arrested after allegedly taking off with approximately $1,500 worth of beer from Tiger Stadium.
Back in 2021, LSU fans bought so much beer in the Rose Bowl that one section was out of stock before kickoff. Previously, alcohol sales were prohibited during regular-season games at the Rose Bowl.
As you can see, LSU fans absolutely love their alcoholic beverages.
