The 2023 Little League World Series is in full swing as it began on Friday with Rhode Island taking on New York in the Metro Regionals final.
Friday’s action determined the final five teams. They will represent the Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Mountain, and West Regions.
During one of the games, ESPN put up some stats and information about each player and two of them on Rhode Island had fans doing a double take.
Connor Queenan had a dream job of being an accountant while Connor Curtis’s dream job was to be a hedge fund manager.
Those are some interesting dream jobs that you rarely ever see from young people of this new generation.
As for the game, Rhode Island defeated New York by a score of 7-1.

Heading into Friday, five tickets had already been punched to the 2023 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.
New Albany Little League in Ohio is set to represent the Great Lakes Region, Gray New Gloucester Little League of Maine will be the New England team, Northeast Seattle Little League of Washington will don the Northwest uniforms, Nolensville Little League from Tennessee will be representing the Southeast for a second consecutive year and Needville Little League of Texas will be the Southwest representative.
Aside from the actual games, the information from the children is one of the best things about this tournament.
