News came out over the weekend that a former cheerleader had been arrested in The Bahamas.
According to Bahamas Court News, Lindsay Shiver, conspired to kill her husband, Robert Shiver, a former Auburn football player. The plot also included 28-year-old Terrance Bethel, who is reported to be her lover, and 29-year-old Faron Newbold. Both men were also charged in the unsuccessful attempt.
Shiver and the two men were arrested in the Bahamas following a break-in at a bar and grill on Guana in the Virgin Islands. While investigating the break-in, police found messages on WhatsApp detailing plans to kill Robert Shiver.
All three were arrested in Abaco, Bahamas, and transported to Nassau. The three accused are scheduled to appear in court on October 5.

The couple has three children together, but Robert filed for divorce after learning of an affair she had, according to the New York Post. Robert was reportedly in the process of filing a divorce before the Bahamas police unearthed the murder plan by his wife and some accomplices.
Shiver, whose maiden name was Shirley, attended Auburn University and Robert Shiver played football. The school’s 2008 roster shows him as the Tigers’ long snapper and who lives in Thomasville, Georgia. He played in 25 games for the Tigers in 2007 and 2008 before signing with the Atlanta Falcons in 2009.
After getting cut by the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL in 2009, Robert Shiver moved to the corporate world. He is the current executive vice president of Senior Life Insurance Company in Thomasville, Georgia.
