Tennessee football’s 31-26 loss to No. 14 Ole Miss turned ugly when fans tossed debris on the field to protest a call in the final minute of the game.
UT quarterback Hendon Hooker completed a pass on 4th-and-24 to his tight end who dove for a first down. However, he was ruled a few inches short with 54 seconds remaining. After official video review, the spot of the ball was upheld.
Fans were pissed and started throwing everything from mustard to beer.
After the Rebels held on to win the game, Lane Kiffin was surrounded by cops who walked him to the locker room. As he headed that way, someone threw a water bottle at his head. Kiffin caught it with one hand.
