Former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord will end up somewhere but it will not be at Nebraska.
As the Ohio State football program is preparing to play Missouri in the Cotton Bowl, its former starting quarterback Kyle McCord is looking to land somewhere where the coach will have full confidence in him.
McCord removed Nebraska from his list of suitors likely because the Cornhuskers might flip five-star Georgia quarterback commit Dylan Raiola.
Now, a surprise dark horse team is emerging.
According to Tom Loy of 247Sports, Syracuse could be a landing spot for McCord.
“I’m told to keep a very close eye on #Syracuse and Kyle McCord,” Loy wrote on X, Twitter.

While McCord left Ohio State after Ryan Day declined to commit to McCord as Ohio State’s starting quarterback for 2024, he’d be an immediate upgrade for the Orangemen.
Syracuse quarterback Garrett Schrader passed from 1,686 yards and 13 touchdowns with six interceptions in 11 games this past season.
