LeBron James is easily the scrutinized athlete in the social media era and it’s not particularly close. Unfortunately for the 4x champion, he takes a lot of unneccessary slander and hate from NBA fans and analysts alike.
Kevin Durant sees the hate that the Lakers superstar gets, so he recently decided to call people out on it. Durant doesn’t like the fact that James has to be the ‘perfect person’ in order to avoid criticism by the media.
“Anything LeBron does, you guys talk about like it is breaking news. He can’t do anything. He has to play every game, he has to average close to a triple-double, he has to be a perfect person, because you will say everything about him,” Durant said, via Lakers Daily.
Durant doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with reporters. “Once I started getting more experienced I realized: They can never be what I am. Or know what I know. Or understand it the way I understand it,” Durant told Draymond Green in an interview
Durant is an 11-time All-Star, four-time scoring champion and two-time NBA champion who just led Team USA to the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics Games.
