Sunday’s women’s national championship game between the LSU Tigers and Iowa Hawkeyes got a bit testy at the end of the game when Angel Reese decided to taunt Caitlin Clark multiple times.
Reese, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, made it her business to walk over near Clark to give her the “y’all can’t see me” gesture and point to her finger which will sport a championship ring.
Reese’s celebration drew the ire of former ESPN host Keith Olbermann who tweeted out:
“What a f***ing idiot.”
Those were pretty harsh words that got him blasted online.

Hours later, Olbermann would take to Twitter to apologize while stating he was uninformed on the back story that led to Angel Reese taunting Clark.
“I apologize for being uninformed last night about the back story on this. I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong.”
Reese had a performance to remember in the 2023 NCAA tournament, punctuated by a 15-point, 10-rebound outing against Iowa in the national championship Sunday.
