A college wide receiver is likely to garner lots of attention from NFL scouts following an impressive feat.
The upcoming NFL Draft will see some highly-rated quarterbacks go pro but there are several players in other positions who are relatively unknown right now but will go on to become household names in the years to come.
Kazmeir Allen might just be one of them, although he’s already the talk of the internet following an incredible show of pace. The UCLA wideout isn’t likely to be on the top of any team’s scouting list but that might change after he showed off some unreal speed in a video that has since gone viral, clocking 28MP/h on a treadmill.
Allen, given a rating of 0.8875 on the 247Sports Composite, is smaller than the average NFL wideout, which might work against him. At 5ft 9in and 175 LBS, he might have to settle for being a kick returner if he gets drafted, at least until he shows he can mix in as a pro. But he’s done his prospects very little harm with his recent display.
The WR’s stats admittedly aren’t all that impressive as he recorded 403 receiving yards and two touchdowns for the Bruins last season. But he didn’t get that much playing time either.
Allen still has his work cut out for him; there’s still a lot stacked against him despite the impressive show. Be that as it may, he’s definitely someone to pay attention to moving forward.
