TCU safety Bud Clark was very fortunate to still be in the Big 12 Championship Game after he was shown on camera taking a swing at a Kansas State player.
The moment went down after Kansas State’s touchdown to go up 11 points in the 3rd quarter. Clark was shown swinging at TE Ben Sinnott. The punch appeared to land on the top of Sinnott’s helmet as Clark squared up looking for a fight.
However, Sinnot was too busy to brawl as he completely ignored him to go celebrate.
TCU would go on to lose that game, but things would happen for them days later. Less than 24 hours after a heartbreaking overtime loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game the College Football Playoff committee selected TCU as the third ranked team in the playoff.
They will face No. 2 Michigan in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. on Saturday, Dec. 31st. The Horned Frogs, whose only national title came in 1938, have never played Michigan.
